Lynette Wallworth

Lynette Wallworth is an Australian artist whose practice spans interactive video installation and short film. Wallworth was awarded the inaugural AFTRS Creative Fellowship in 2010, an International Artists Fellowship from the Arts Council England in 2007, a New Media Arts Fellowship from the Australia Council for the Arts 2003–2004.  She has received commissions from the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, the British Film Institute. and the Adelaide Film Festival.  In November 2006, the first major European solo exhibition of her work took place at the New Crowned Hope Festival in Vienna.   In 2008, Wallworth’s work  was the subject of solo exhibitions at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, France,  the Lincoln Center, New York and the Melbourne International Arts Festival.  In 2009 she presented her work at Sundance Film Festival, New Frontiers  and was commissioned by the Adelaide Film festival to develop a new immersive, interactive work Duality of Light presented in a solo show at the SAMSTAG Museum. In 2010 she had a solo show at Carriageworks during the Sydney Festival and developed the video artwork for Elegy for Young Lovers, English National Opera.  Her most recent work Rekindling Venus , In Plain Sight, has just been launched at the Bigpond Adelaide Film Festival.
